How long does a carriage ride usually last?
A carriage ride is quite comfortable and enjoyable. The time frame is totally up to the
discretion of our clients, their needs and the event location. Our horses walk approximately 2
to 3 miles per hour giving ample time to enjoy yourself.
What happens in the event of inclement weather, such as rain, drizzle or heat?
In the unlikely event of marginal weather the carriage can be somewhat enclosed for the
passengers comfort. Should conditions arise that are of a more serious nature, we reserve
the right to cancel an activity to ensure the safety of all involved.
How safe are the horses?
Our horses are as safe as any animal can be, working in traffic. Our horses are very
experienced and routinely work in traffic and congestion. We are very proud of a perfect
safety record and take the necessary precautions to ensure this remains.
Our event will be at night, does your company operate at night?
Yes, we do work at night, as our carriages have lights, brakes, slow moving vehicle signs,
and D.O.T. (department of transportation) approved reflective tape. We make sure we stay
in safe areas where we are well seen by traffic.
Do the horses have the proper shoes for all operations?
Yes, the horses are shod with special shoes to reduce the risk of slipping, to protect their
hooves and to make their work easier.
Are the horses clean and will they leave any excrement behind?
Our horses are shampooed and bathed before and after every event, for their benefit and
yours. Each animal also wears bags when they work in public.
Is there a special permit we need to obtain before we can allow your horse into our event?
In the event a permit might be required, we will ensure we have obtained everything
necessary prior to any event we participate in.
